In 1981 started Jan Vonka in motor sport for the first time. Since this time everybody knows Vonka Racing like the firm pursued motor racing. Jan Vonka more then 10 years started in rallies, motocross and other events with autocross and rallyecross cars, formulas and prototypes and collected good results.

Vonka Racing top was taking part in starting list in 24 Hours Le Mans. It was in 1995 with Porsche 962 K8 and Porsche 911 GT2 after testing in Florida.

Since 1996 Vonka Racing replaced prototypes by touring cars. Team has decided for N group and bought 2 BMW M3 cars. Year 1997 was year of development and preparations and year 1998 brought first extra good results compared with super cars. In Czech National Hillclimb Championship team proved to keep steps with extra power cars like Ford Cosworth.

In 1999 the team moved up and won it´s first race of European Hillclimb Championship. In 2000 won total third place in N group and at the same time was Jan Vonka the fastest driver with his car among cars with 1 powered axle.

In 2001 team won it´s group in Czech Hillclimb Championship. In the end of the year team bought super racing car Porsche 911 GT3 RS and with this car won group GT in European Hillclimb Championship 2002 and got all records of GT group at all tracks. Withal this team won Czech Hillclimb Championship and for the first time started in FIA GT Championship race (in Brno).

Year 2003 was centred on Czech International Endurance Championship. After very successful season Jan Vonka was placed third. Prestigious six-hours race named „Agrotec Prima Epilog“ Jan Vonka finished with his BMW M3 in the third place.

2004 belonged our first taking part in FIA GT Championship. Expect 3 races Vonka Racing took part all Campionship. In spite of was absolute novice in this and was one of few private teams among factory teams, didn´t fare badly. Total 6 th place of team and 12 th place of Jan Vonka was high-quality result.

In 2005 Vonka Racing took part for this once all FIA GT Championship. Even first two races was overed thanks to accidents during next races we fared so well that in half of the season was our team on the 3 rd place GT2 group. On the third place we kept up for some few races. But Italian team which was 4 th bought absolutely new car Porsche 996 GT3 RSR and with this was not possible to compete. But 4 th place of our team and Jan Vonka´s 8 th place was the best possible result what was possilble to get.

Season 2006 started in Florida, USA. Vonka Racing was first Czech team in start at one of the prestigious race of the world – 12 Hours Sebring. At the same season Jan started in FIA World Touring Car Championship race at home track and get point to total results.

In 2007 Vonka Racing come back into International Czech Championship and organized anniversary 10th year of Hill Climb race Vzhůru Farinovou zatáčkou.

In 2008 we have amazed many people again. We appeared in the new class up to 3 500 ccm. We obliged new rules and we have built special 3 484 ccm engine to our Porsche. Result of our good step was 3rd place in International Czech sprint championship with two victories.

Years 2009-2011 pertained to Porsche service and workshop developing. Vonka Racing Junior Team took part Endurance races Le Serial with 2 BMW.

In 2012 Vonka has fulfilled another of his morotsports dreams. He took part prestigious Rolex 24H at Daytona race. In 50th anniversary year started with Porsche 997 GT3 Cup of U.S. team Orbit/Matt Connolly Motorsports.

Every year since 1998 Vonka Racing organizes hillclimb race named „Vzhůru Farinovou zatáčkou“ using one of the most interesting part of Masaryk circuit near Brno – the legendary Grand Prix racing track in thirties.

Every year since 2001 Vonka Racing organizes also rallye named „Rallye Show Modřice“ for licensee drivers. But in 2005 we have changed a little bit it´s form, we have organized school of skids and satisfied also common people.

Besides these activies Vonka Racing yearly issues the „VRCHY“ review about hillclimbing races in Czech and Slovak. In 2007 we issue new exclusive Vonka Racing MAGAZINE.
